Utena and Wakaba are eating lunch together when Utena is approached by a student, trying to give her a love letter. Wakaba recognizes him as Kazami Tatsuya, a friend from her elementary school days. But, as Utena starts to figure out, there is more between Tatsuya and Wakaba than there seems to be. When they were in elementary school, Wakaba declared Tatsuya her "Onion Prince", to defend herself against teasing kids. Utena thinks there is still love between them, especially after finding out that Tatsuya's love letter was an attempt to get closer to Wakaba. Tatsuya finally confesses his love to her...only Wakaba doesn't feel the same way. Apparently she has someone else... Broken, Tatsuya goes to Nemuro Memorial Hall, but is rejected, as Mikage finds him to be a truly good person.
