In light of Kanae's recent defeat, Mikage and Mamiya decide to use the Student Council members in their plan. Since they were also defeated, the idea is to find someone stronger and have them draw a sword from one of the Student Council members.

Kozue senses that she is drifting away from Miki, and tries to put herself back into his thoughts, by trying to . She knows that Miki is getting closer to Anthy, and she feels jealous as a result. These feelings lead her to becoming a Black Rose Duelist, using Miki to get her sword.
